3/7/98 Preface to the following letter (of 3/9/98) in which I seek to justify my "harping" on the subject of homosexuality and the United Methodist Church. Has to do with my own upbringing in a Wesleyan home, my own experience in the homosexual life and my subsequent marriage and then with the logic of my own view on homosexuality, i.e., while I can see no reason why any homosexual could not enter the straight mainstream and be quite comfortable and even happy (the conclusion of my own experience), I can see no moral or scriptural reason as to why he should think that he ought to do anything like that. 4/24/99 A rehash of the letter of 6/25/98, namely: demonstrating the universal precedence of the Golden Rule over the remainder of scripture. (Not published.)

6/7/99 Concerning Jesus' assertion that the Golden Rule be the essential "law and prophets" with special focus on the demotion of scripture as the arbiter of the conscience and its replacement by the Golden Rule and the implication of that rule for the conduct vis-à-vis differing Christians seeking to live in the unity of Christ (of Romans 14).
