A rational religion is one which promotes a love of the moral law of mutual concern as the supreme, practical (human-to-human) rule. This is the religion which can be approved of by all people, and the commitment to which on the part of any given individual can universally be viewed as conducive to a better world.

Now I say that the faith of the Gentile Christians is for this reason a rational religion, for it puts no law, scriptural or ecclesiastical, on the same plane with the Golden Rule and promotes this latter as the supreme guide in human-to-human dealings.

As a result of this standing, the Gentile Christians (if they ever wake up!) are in an excellent position to convey a mighty blessing upon all the world, namely the active promotion of the homosexual life in the structure of a Christian community, e.g., a marriage, i.e., a committed relationship which can be expanded to include two or more of the same sex, and which we might rightly refer to as a Christian monastery. In this way there would be a natural abatement in the population growth rate and the possibility of a better and easier distribution of happiness on earth.

It might be helpful for some readers to contrast the Gentile and Jewish Christian. The latter would be one who in addition to the Golden Rule considered other laws as equal or greater in importance, e.g., no blood sausage or no homosexual contact.
