8/12/05 6:06 AM Keeping time. God is at play in every moment. That was or is the inspiration of this early AM. God is at play in the crucifixion of Christ, for God is at play in every moment, even when the Great Jesus himself lost faith in that moment and joined with all humans in the utter realization of utter failure and purposelessness, and then, blessed of all men, he realized his own descent into hell, and realized that God had been at play even in that moment when he lost faith, for God is always at play.
Thus in the crucifixion does Jesus become one with the horror of the human, despair. Utter despair.
God is at play. Funny expression. For it could mean that he is like unto a youth who is whiling away the awful expanse of time that God (in the Hindu conception) is subject to and this goes on and on and on and becomes an unspeakable horror but which in the end is mere play (Hindu conception). [Mohammed may have unconsciously been seeking to counter this appeal to despair.]
6:12 AM Report: there were two consciousnesses at play in my just-now rereading the first paragraph, for I was conscious of an encounter with my boss in this morning. And so I was only semiconsciousness of the movement of the eye and not much about the content.
6:13 AM This is where Nietche comes in, I think. Get beyond this crap! you are a hindrance to the movement and thrust of the race. You are like a cripple man who needs care in the midst of a battle. Too bad. someone has to go in order that the race may go first. Stand out of the way of the will of the race. Or something like that.
6:16 AM I wonder if I shall be known as a lunatic to leave complete information as to his make up in his own.
6:18 AM Well then,
6:30 AM Mohammed takes Nietche and removes the race and leaves only the individual. Forget the others. Let them take care of themselves. Here is the life raft of happiness for all time. Its every man for himself, and no one can help anyone, for its every man for himself. There is a single raft out there and its either you are them, and so let it be you. Be intelligent. Take the happiness and fuck the others. If they are chosen they will have their paradise, or else they will have their hell, whatever has been ordain by the Player, but take the raft and leave the rest to fend for themselves. You will be in your own paradise, and they will have theirs, or their own hell, however they chose, but you are to choose the life raft, and here it is: the Koran and the Prophet.
The result is the moral collapse of the Western Ideal. Even Hitler maintained the moral law in the dealings with Germans, and grew sincerely angered at the thought of the suffering of innocent German widows and children.
And what is now at Play. On the one side we have Pauls Jesus as Christ. Jesus renounces all allegiance to law, even though in his role as a King of the Jews he always complied with the law, but he would occasionally break out of the limitation of the King of the Jews and speak as King of the World. Jesus is the New Adam, the second start, but now more difficult since the world is sunk into evil, and is not merely nothing. Good out of nothing and then good out of evil. That is a second trick which is more difficult than the first trick.
The Second Adam is the production of God himself, the product of a virgin birth. The attains to full embodiment of the creation of God, but now in the midst of a more difficult world than that faced by Adam,, and armed now with the experience of the first Adam relayed to him by his mother who had had a vision as a child, and who believed the vision and kept it to herself, he lives in complete submission to God.
He lives for the sake of all his charge and thus when he dies in order to save the life of Barabbas, a Jew in the hands of the gentiles, and thus fulfills his commission as king of the Jews, he actually dies for him as a human, and thus as a gentile. He died in order that the gentiles, along with the Jews, might live to that same end of righteousness, that this righteousness might now continue with the humans until the end of time. He lived the life of a righteous man and he died the death of a sinner in order that all men might know that they can become a second Adam just as he is a second Adam (and always was a second Adam). Barabbas is your brother. The thief is my brother.
It seems to work like this. You are impressed with the idea of this Son of God and that you could also become a Son of God, or a son of God is better, and you realized that he died in order that this will not merely be a hope, but a fact, i.e., you will become a son of God and thus heir to the due of the Son of God.
The idea is to get people to be willing to believe in, and trust, God so much that they are willing to put others above themselves. All must put others before themselves. That is the simple solution. All others. But the disciples simply would not do this. They bickered just like the very gentile kings that they so despised. They were so sure they understood him, they said, but then they kept on bickering, and they did not understand what he said. They were in a blindness of sin, and it would be impossible for the Holy Spirit of God to enter into them and make second Adams of them. The only way they will understand is if I die. They must understand that I am leaving them in order for them to realize what it means to have me, i.e., for their sake. This (death) is what it means to love the world, and not where you are a bureaucratic higher-up over the others, like being the big shot at home around the family.
6:57 AM God is now reconciled to the world, for the Holy Spirit is now in the world, and the effect of sin will now be eradicated and all its vestiges, for the world shall be made perfect and shall end up perfect as it was created. This was made possible by the death of Jesus Christ, that this Holy Spirit might finally find receptive, i.e., united, hearts in love with each other as kindred spirits, for it is found in the twos and threes.
By virtue of the death, to give understanding to the meaning of love, and then the resurrection, to give hope and anticipation (and purpose), the Holy Spirit of God entered into the world and began his work. And his work was the Peterian Congregation and the Paulian Congregation, each representing one and the same invisible Church, even as only one of two identical hands can wear a given glove. The Peterians were a glove (of Jewish design) and the Paulians wore no glove. The peterians died out and the Paulians began wearing a glove (of a Greek or Latin design) and what we have now are Christians who call themselves Paulians, but are actually Neo-Peterians who dispute over the material and design of the glove.
7:06 AM Now the Muslims will claim here that actually the disciples are confused. What happened is that someone else looked like Jesus was crucified, perhaps even Judas was made to resemble Jesus, and he was crucified, and so the disciples only thought they saw Jesus on the cross. Jesus was actually taken up to heaven, and then brought down again to show the disciples that he had never died, but was safely in heaven the whole time, and that they should go around doing what he had guided them to do. And then he was taken back up into heaven.
7:11 AM And so I think we are left here with Paul. Paul (and Francis and others after him) provides all the evidence we need of the miracle of the Holy Spirit, and that is really the main question at hand. Paul sees the effect of the Jesus idea on Stephan and is frightened in his conception of the unique role of Judaism. He sees and hears his Jesus in the sky and goes blind. He receives his sight from a Christian sent to him. He is baptized and goes forth to proclaim that Jesus is the savior of all the world, and not just the Jews.
This revelation is given to him in his blindness. He puts Stephen together with the naturally good gentiles that had always puzzled him and comes up with the idea that this Jesus is actually the Second Adam and that this means that it is not just the Jews but also the gentiles who are in play.
Paul witnesses to a new spirit that took over his soul, where he started naturally to prefer others over himself. This spirit was manifested in many ways, affecting the lives of many people. And it was spread around. The Christian Paul was bringing news of a hope for the world. That it was not all vain and inane and pointless but rather there was a hope of a new future by means of a certain spirit which had possessed this man Paul and which could be possessed by anyone. The conveyance of the Holy Spirit. The results were love and charity, etc.
Now this new spirit is the promise of the faith, that by means of it a Christian may experience the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
7:25 AM To the external world this will appear as though people were talking themselves into an idea, that they were actually getting to enjoy doing these good things that they are committed to doing anyway. A certain fixation.
Each person must indeed here be on his own to either forsake the world of fleshly happiness and instead to enter into the world of holy happiness where the measure is the degree of brotherhood and which is infinite in the case of the saints of God.
Or to remain in that world.
Its going to be Paul and Mohammed. Mohammed brings a message, Paul brings an experience. Coming to love others as Christ loved others. coming to love fellow Christians as Christ love the disciples. Coming to love God as Christ loved God.
The final encounter will be between Paul and Mohammed. And remember that Francis was not very successful with Saladan.
But this is before we have introduced the idea of a moral religion, for it is by means of this that we will come to realize that Paul is preferred over Mohammed. Pauls revelation is more what one would expect from God.
7:52 PM When all is said and done, we will find that the law of brotherhood has a stronger claim than the law of self love. I guess no one wants to be alone.
